# watermint satoyama — End User License Agreement **Effective 2026-09-12.** - Licensor: **Takayuki Okazaki** - Contact: **license@watermint.net** - Official project page: **https://watermint.app/satoyama** ## 1. Scope and permissions The “Mod” means the satoyama software (JARs and bundled assets), its official website, and its official project pages and Licensor-provided content on community platforms such as CurseForge. “You” means the individual or organization exercising permissions under this EULA. “Official spaces,” including official community services, means project websites, pages, or communities operated by the Licensor or designated by the Licensor as official. For rights the Licensor controls in the officially released Mod and accompanying materials, you receive a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license for the duration of those rights, unless ended under Section 3, to: - download, copy, back up, and play the Mod software, including on public or private servers; - publish videos, streams, screenshots, reviews, and tutorials; - share unmodified releases, separately or in modpacks, under Section 5; - create and distribute independent Add-ons, compatibility mods, resource packs, and original patches under Section 5; - carry out the activities permitted by this EULA for both commercial and non-commercial purposes, without additional royalties. Respect for people In activities involving the Mod, its official spaces, or directly targeting people because of their project participation, do not: - threaten, stalk, or engage in severe or repeated targeted harassment; persistently contact someone after a clear stop request, including by bypassing blocks; - knowingly expose someone to harm or harassment by disclosing, compiling, or spreading personal identifying information, including information already public; - knowingly and intentionally organize or materially assist conduct prohibited by this section; - knowingly spread materially false factual claims or fabricated allegations to cause harm, impersonate others, or falsely claim project authority; - distribute malware or deliberately disrupt project operations, official spaces, or the operation of third-party servers or communities using the Mod. Criminal organizations principally engaged in serious crimes may not use the Mod. Do not use it to commit or intentionally assist serious real-world crime. Criticism, opinions, satire, disagreement, good-faith mistakes, unsubstantiated reports, lawful public commentary, genuine reports, necessary legal communications, and factual corrections are not violations merely because they are harsh or unwelcome. These exceptions do not excuse otherwise prohibited conduct. ## 3. Protective action and termination The Licensor may end permissions by written notice based on specific, credible information supporting a material breach of any of Sections 2, 4, or 5. Termination applies to the individual or organization responsible for the breach. An organization is responsible where its authorized representatives carry out or direct the breach on its behalf, or knowingly and intentionally provide material assistance to it on its behalf. Employment, membership, or a contractual relationship alone does not establish responsibility. Related conduct and its cumulative impact may be assessed together across accounts or venues, but only insofar as specific, credible information attributes it to you or your knowing, intentional organization or material assistance. Changing accounts or venues does not itself reset a clear stop request covering that conduct. The Licensor may communicate termination electronically. An account-ban notice issued by the Licensor or its authorized representative through official community services and displayed or sent to you also constitutes written notice of termination. A notice terminating an organization's permissions must identify that organization and be sent or displayed to its authorized representative. Termination ends all permissions granted to you under this EULA. Stop exercising ended permissions. Reacquiring copies, changing accounts, or using another distributor does not restore them to the same recipient. Restoration requires the Licensor's express permission. You may end this agreement by ceasing to exercise its permissions. ## 4. Names and independent projects You may identify satoyama by its name and unaltered logo or icon, including resizing that preserves its appearance. Do not adopt these assets as your own identity or falsely imply official approval, support, or affiliation. Unless agreed otherwise, third-party servers, Add-ons, and communities are independent; compatibility alone implies neither endorsement nor responsibility. Permission under this EULA to display compatibility statements also ends when your license ends. The Mod is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. ## 5. Sharing and creating “Official releases” means Mod software JARs and software distribution packages published by the Licensor. Redistribute official releases unchanged, preserving this EULA, its version, and copyright and third-party notices. Make the terms reasonably accessible to recipients beforehand. No individual modpack approval is required. Recipients receive permissions directly from the Licensor; you cannot replace them with your own terms. Your original creations remain yours, subject to others' existing rights. You may create and distribute independent extensions that do not bundle Mod code or assets. Attributed, limited code excerpts necessary to explain interfaces, bugs, or security concerns are allowed. This EULA does not permit redistribution of modified Mod JARs, recovered source, or extracted textures, sounds, or models. Code excerpts permitted by this section, depiction in permitted media, and identifying uses under Section 4 remain allowed. ## 6. Availability and responsibility The Mod is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including quality, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. You decide whether to use or redistribute it and assume the risks. No continued development or distribution, updates, support, compatibility, save recovery, review of reports, responses, formal hearings, or general monitoring, investigation, mediation, or enforcement are promised. Voluntary assistance does not promise further assistance or limit permissions already granted. The Licensor bears no liability for claims, losses, or damages arising from the Mod, its use, redistribution, or inability to use it, whether based on contract, negligence, or another legal ground. ## 7. Legal rights and versions You may accept these terms, made available beforehand, by expressly agreeing or exercising permissions granted here. Japan's law governs. Separately licensed third-party materials remain unaffected. Non-enforcement does not waive rights; unenforceable terms are severable. This EULA is a single current text covering all Mod releases and accompanying materials, the official project website as a whole, and the official community pages included in the Mod. From its effective date it supersedes earlier texts, including for previously obtained releases. The Licensor may publish revisions at the official project page, identifying their effective date. Revisions operate prospectively: they do not prohibit previously permitted acts, withdraw accrued rights, or require removal of media already published under Section 1. Revisions materially reducing permissions apply to releases you already hold subject to any required consent; you may reject them and end this agreement. If texts differ, the current text at the official project page prevails. English is the authoritative text. Summaries add no restrictions.
