Usage

What goes in

A noodle rope gives somen. The rope is the same sheet udon comes from, cut spirally on a board — and it is all that goes in; no oil. The rack is two blocks tall, so the top hopper sits above the whole rack: the upper half is the way in to the lower one.

It needs the sky

Like the drying rack, it only works under open sky — and being two blocks tall, it needs the headroom to match.

Input, work in progress and output

Restock the input slots on the left. A valid batch moves into the bright working slots in the middle, then finishes in the output slots on the right. Restocking or replacing input does not change that batch. Working items can be recovered, but cannot be inserted directly. Removing part of a batch cancels it; recover the remainder before starting another.

Behavior

Visible processing

Hanging noodles sway gently while sun-drying progresses. They stop without sunlight, and finished bundles remain still.

Neither rolled nor cut

Hand-stretching is the third way to shape a noodle: dough straight to strand, like the extruder, with neither the sheeter nor the cutting rolls in between. That is why the section is round rather than square.
