Spent sand. Laid next to water under an open daytime sky, anywhere, it slowly reverts to brine sand — a working salt field.
Obtaining
- Byproduct of Brine Bottle
Usage
Back through the salt field
Do not throw it away — lay it at any waterline and the sun restores it to brine sand. A pond dug beside an inland house works as well as the shore. Keep a drying yard and the salt line runs without ever buying more sand.

In the real world
The Japanese salt-making term 骸砂 is read gaisha and means the sand left after kansha has been leached in a nui.
Differences in game
In real salt making, gaisha is spread back over the salt field. Satoyama represents that reuse as a block changing back into kansha beside water.
