Diatomite hardened in a furnace. It stays light but holds the heat in, and it is what a charcoal hearth is built from.
Obtaining
Usage
It becomes the charcoal hearth
Build it on a crafting table into a grill stand, or add iron nuggets for a grill net. It is not used for the earth-built hearths, nor for the kiln that fires again and again at high heat.
Behavior
Light, and slow to let heat out
The fine pores that remain make it light and slow to pass heat outward. That is why a little charcoal grills for a long time, and why it does a different job from the heavy hearth materials.
