Bizen ware is made from iron-bearing clay, left unglazed and fired long in a wood kiln. Ash, flame, position and contact with straw give each piece its own kiln marks.
Differences in game
Satoyama does not separate the regional clay or positions in the kiln; adding straw to the shared body folds them into one Bizen look.
