Finding Plants and Wildlife

Overview

Crops, trees, fish and animals each have places where you can find them. Whether you are looking for a particular plant or fish or collecting many different kinds, use the lists below to choose where to explore.

Wild plants grow in different combinations from one area to another. You will not find everything in one place: even within the same biome, distant areas may have different plants. If you cannot find what you need nearby, try another area with a similar climate. The lists show where to look, rather than promising a sighting everywhere in that biome. For plants, explore land first visited after adding this content to your world.

Crops and wild plants

Look for wild plants to gather seeds and planting materials for your farm. Explore watersides and vines growing on trees as well as the ground. Ground-hugging vines mark wild kodama watermelons. Follow each name for harvesting and growing instructions.

Trees

Different trees grow in different places. Alongside fruit and leaves, collect saplings to grow at home. The table uses sapling names to show where their trees grow naturally. Follow each name for details on collecting saplings and fruit.

Fish and waterside life

Rivers and seas have different fish, and the inhabitants of the sea change with its warmth. Look underwater for fish in the listed biomes and along shores for seabirds. Nori is included here as a waterside plant.

Land animals and birds

Explore forests, grasslands and snowy country to meet the animals and birds that live there. Visit the listed biomes and look around the trees as well as across the ground.
