In the real world
Tsukimi soba drops a raw egg into soba in hot broth, likening the yolk to a full moon. It took its present form in the Meiji period.
Differences in game
The noodles cook directly in the broth instead of being boiled separately. Adding the egg later is also omitted; it goes into the medium pot with the noodles from the start.
